【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardestablishesproceduresforspecifyingcertainultrasonicsearchunitcharacteristicsandformeasuringtheassociatedsoundfield.Theaimistoestablishuniformityoftestingtechniques,toformabasisfortheinterpretationofresultsobtainedbydifferentlaboratoriesandatdifferenttimes.NotethatthisInternationalStandardestablishesnoacceptancecriteria;however,itdoesestablishthetechnicalbasisforcriteriathatmaybedefinedbyuserparties.ISO2400describesacalibrationblockusedinweldinspectionforcheckingtheperformanceoftheultrasonicinstrumentandsearchunit.Tofurtherenhancethegeneralultrasonicinspectioncapability,informationconcerningthesearchunit'stimedomainresponse,frequencyresponse(alsoreferredtoasfrequencyspectrum,frequencyanalysis,spectrumanalysisandsignatureanalysis)andsoundfieldmustbeknownbeforereliabledetectionandcharacterizationofflawscanbeachieved.Thesearchunitsdiscussedhereinarestraight-beamandangle-beamsearchunitswithanominalultrasonicfrequencyfrom0,5MHzto15MHz.Surfacewavesearchunitsarenotincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandardprovidesproceduresforspecifyingsoundfieldparametersaswellasmethodsofmeasurementinimmersiontests.Thisstandarddoesnotaddresssoundfieldmeasurementincontacttests.ThisInternationalStandarddescribesmeasurementproceduresforevaluatingcharacteristicsofultrasonicsearchunitsanddescribestechniquesusedforobtainingsoundfielddataproducedbyelectricallypulse-excitedsearchunitsusedinthefieldorinthelaboratory.Thecharacteristicparametersdiscussedinthisstandardaretheupper,lowerandcentrefrequencies,thewavelength,thebandwidth,thetimedomainandfrequencydomainresponses,thenear-fieldlength,thehalf-angleofbeamspreadforsearchunitsofdifferentshapesinfreefield,echosoundmeasurements,beamprofiles,theimpedanceandtherelativesensitivity.Formatsforspecifyingbothflat-faceandfocusedsearchunitsaregiven.Toprovidebaselineinformationandtocheckpossibleperformancedegradation,theelectricalpropertiesofthesearchunitaremeasuredindependentlyoftheultrasonicinstrument.Theelectricalimpedanceandsensitivityaremeasuredatspecificfrequenciesselectedforeachsearchunit.Theelectricalimpedancecorrespondstothecomplexinputimpedanceofthesearchunitandthesensitivityofthesearchunitisameasureoftheelectroacousticefficiencyoftheunit.Theseproceduresaredescribedin4.6and4.7,respectively.
