【摘要】:1.1TheserequirementscoversuspendedceilinggridlowvoltagelightingsystemsandcomponentsintendedforpermanentinstallationandforuseinasuspendedceilinggridinaccordancewithArticle411oftheNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70.1.2Thesuspendedceilinggridlowvoltagelightingsystemscoveredbythisoutlineareintendedtobeinstalledinasuspendedceilinggridthatprovidesmechanicalsupportfortheceilingtilesandprovideselectricalconnectionsbetweenthelowvoltagepowersupplyandthelowvoltageluminaires.Thelowvoltagelightingsystemconsistsofthefollowingcomponents:a)Anisolatingtypelowvoltagepowersupplyoperatingat30V(42.4Vpeak)orlessandnotexceedingClass2powerlimits,b)AgridrailpowerdistributionsystemtoprovidepowerfromtheClass2powersupplytooneormoreClass2poweredluminaires,andc)Class2poweredluminairesthatmayberecessedintothesuspendedceiling,surfacemountedontheroomsideoftheceiling,orlocatedbelowthesuspendedceiling.1.3Thesuspendedceilinggridlowvoltagelightingsystemisintendedtobepermanentlyconnected,forindoordrylocations,commercialuseonly,andinstalledinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70,theInternationalBuildingCode,andtheInternationalMechanicalCoderequirements.Thisoutlinealsocoverssuspendedceilinggridlowvoltagelightingsystemsintendeduseinforuseair-handlingspaces.1.4Thisoutlinedoesnotcoversuspendedceilinggridlowvoltagelightingsystemsintendedforusein:a)HazardouslocationsasspecifiedintheNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70,b)GeneralpatientcareareasorcriticalpatientcareareasasdefinedbyArticle517oftheNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70,c)EmergencysystemsasdefinedbyArticle700oftheNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70.1.5ThisoutlinedoesnotevaluatethesuspendedceilinggridlowvoltagelightingsystemforseismicrequirementsinaccordancewiththeInternationalBuildingCode.1.6Thisoutlinedoesnotevaluatethesuspendedceilinggridlowvoltagelightingsystemsforfireresistance.
